FAIL: Surely the military minds of "greatest country in the world" could get their story straight before going to the press about it? If my kids concocted a story like that I'd be very disappointed, firstly that they were dumb enough to lie in the first place, secondly that they were too dumb to make up a plausible story! EPIC FAIL!
One moment he's being defended by his wife, next he isn't, but "unarmed" he was able to "resist" several battle hardened SEALs (not Bill Margaret Seal) to the extent that they had to shoot him in the head and chest. Fortunately there were 18 foot walls around the compound so that there were no eye witnesses to this operation from the surrounding "hood". Another fortunate circumstance was that his body had to be disposed of according to Islamic law/custom so they were able to dump/bury it at see. Also the reports that the SEALs were busy shooting up the compound on the way in were interesting... what were they shooting at... empty olive oil cans perhaps?

ter looking at news and views from various quarters, I now think the following:
Bin Laden probably died some time ago. For various reasons eg. excuses to keep tighter "homeland security" it was not considered politically expedient to announce his death. Recent Arab world efforts to seize perceived freedoms from despotic leaders has diluted the "terrorism effect" of Al Qaeda. In an effort to glean some positive PR the US administration has decided to cobble together a story about his death. "Nevertheless, we still have to restrict our own freedoms for our own safety..."
